A Letter from the Owner
Thank you for your interest in The Murrayfield Nursery.
As a caring mother entering back into the work force after having two children of my own, I appreciate only too well the enormous anxiety caused to parents when making the decision on which nursery to choose.
The standards that I expect for my own children are so high that I felt obliged to offer them to other parents in the form of The Murrayfield Nursery.
The Murrayfield Nursery, which is located in a most prestigious part of Edinburgh, is set in a prime location just off Corstorphine Road. Parents can benefit from the unrestricted parking and easy access from Saughton Crescent which also offers a handy drop off, not only to the residents in Murrayfield and neighbouring districts, but also to those parents commuting from the west.
In 1995 I took great pride in being the first "state of the art", purpose built nursery in Edinburgh and with registration and facilities to care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, the nursery is not only large and spacious but also offers a very warm and homely atmosphere. I have created individual play areas specially designed for the varying age groups and to accommodate the ever changing pattern of a child's development and needs in these crucial early years. The baby unit on the first floor has two rooms with a separate baby changing room, baby milk room, sleep area and staff/parents room. On the ground floor we have three rooms for the older children. There are changing facilities/toilets, main kitchen, cloak room, staff toilets and office. The nursery also benefits from a large, well secured and safe outside play area.
We also pride ourselves in offering a nutritionally balanced diet of home cooking and fresh fruit to all of our children as an essential part of their growth, as well as maintaining that special continuity of home comforts.
