Our Environment

The emphasis at our nursery is on learning through play. The curriculums help us to engage and inspire your child through an enabling environment and passionate staff. We have a large range of resources to stimulate and interest children, set up within a purpose-designed space.

Children start their time at nursery in the Jemima Room (0-1 year olds), then move next door to the Clown Room. However, both rooms spend time together, both inside and out, so that transitions are not a shock. Both the upstairs rooms spend time outside in the baby garden at the front of the nursery and on walks in the local area every day.

Once the children are about 2 years old, they move downstairs to Little Teds, in the garden classroom, where they are becoming more independent and enjoy the free flow to the outside playground. They spend time mixing with the children in the next 2 rooms, Big Teds and Taller Teds. By the time they leave us from Taller Teds, they are ready for school, have great social skills and have the necessary independence to take the next step.

We have our enclosed garden area at the back of the nursery, as well as our very popular eco-garden at the side of this, where the children love to spend time hunting for mini-beasts, making mud pies and generally enjoying being outside.
